VICENTE ORTIZ CORTEZ is a multidisciplinary Mexican artist whose work explores themes of identity and social justice. He exhibits internationally, including exhibitions at The Beach Museum (solo) in Brazil, the National Liberty Museum and City Hall in Philadelphia, the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts in Omaha, and the Czong Institute for Contemporary Art in South Korea. His work is in the collections of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and the William Way LGBT Community Center. He was a Social Justice and Activism Artist-in-Residence at the World Trade Center in New York City, and is a grant recipient from the National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures. His work has appeared on Visit Philadelphia, and The Philadelphia Inquirer.
